Vijay Divas - The Arihant Arrives...

It is a fitting tribute to the valiant soldiers who gave their lives for our country. Today the Indian Navy formally inducted its first indeginous nuclear submarine. Christened the INS Arihant, Sanskrit for 'Destroyer of enemies', it means India is now part of the elite 5 nations who have their own nuclear sub. These new submarines will complete the nuclear triad for India.
While we are quick to lament our countries failures, we rarely celebrate our successes. Lets salute the brave men of our armed forces today. And lets celebrate our scientific prowess that helps us build one of the most complex naval vessels known to man. Jai Hind!

10 years later...

A decade ago at this time, our soldiers were bravely climbing treacherous heights in the face of deadly enemy fire from the enemy. That enemy exists today too. But that is another discussion.
July 26th is Kargil day. When the day comes, I request you to spend a quiet moment remembering these men and thanking them. Its not much, but its better than nothing.
